Eyval is a portrait of Ali Saboor, the warm and friendly head chef of Eyval, a Persian-American restaurant in the Bushwick neighborhood of Brooklyn. After growing up in Iran during the Iranian Revolution and the Iran-Iraq War, and subsequently moving to America with his mother, he now runs the #26 restaurant in New York City, according to the New York Times.
